MEET PADDY

Born and raised in Ireland, Paddy has proudly called Australia home for the past 30 years. Over that time, he has built a rich life and career centred around connection, community, and supporting others through life’s challenges and transitions.

Paddy’s journey into counselling began through volunteering with Lifeline in Lismore, where he discovered a passion for supporting people through difficult times. This experience inspired him to pursue a Master’s in Gestalt Psychotherapy, alongside further training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Voice Dialogue, and Equine Assisted Mental Health.

Throughout his career, Paddy has worked with children, young people, and adults across a range of settings and with diverse experiences. More recently, his work has focused on supporting individuals recovering from addiction, helping clients develop greater self-awareness, build resilience, and reconnect with a sense of purpose and possibility.

Paddy brings a genuine warmth, quiet wisdom, and calming presence to every session. He has a wonderful ability to meet people exactly where they are, without judgement, while gently supporting them to explore what might be possible from there. In his equine-assisted work, Paddy works alongside both the client and the herd, creating a safe, grounded, and supportive space for healing, connection, and growth.

Paddy is currently seeing clients on Thursdays.

Alyssa is a trauma-informed counsellor and Equine Assisted Therapist who is passionate about supporting children, young people and adults as they navigate life’s challenges, develop a deeper understanding of themselves, and move towards greater wellbeing.

She holds a Bachelor of Counselling and is certified in Equine Assisted Mental Health, and is currently undertaking further training in Somatic Experiencing®. Alyssa is particularly interested in the connection between our experiences, our bodies, and our nervous systems, and how developing a greater sense of safety within ourselves can support meaningful and lasting change.

Alyssa brings a diverse range of experience to her practice, including her own private practice, as well as previous work as a youth support worker and school counsellor. These roles have given her the opportunity to support children, young people and adults through a wide range of challenges and life experiences. Her work centres on helping clients reconnect with themselves, develop greater nervous system safety, and gently explore the impact of trauma, anxiety, chronic stress and the many challenges that life can bring.

Alyssa brings a calm, compassionate and grounded presence to every session. She is committed to creating a space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard and accepted, and where they can move at a pace that feels safe for them. Working alongside the herd, Alyssa supports clients to build confidence, resilience and self-awareness, while creating opportunities for connection, insight and healing.

Alyssa is currently seeing clients on Tuesdays.
